Jono Waks set out as an independent media consultant in 2000 specializing in beauty, fashion and other stylish consumer product.

He is a c-suite level earned media, integrated and affiliate marketing consumer placement expert and has been retained by brands including Grace Eleyae, Bokksu Japanese Artisanal Snacks & Candies, Moroccanoil, Parlux Fragrances, Clarins, and many others creating media events, placing product, telling founder stories, booking panels, and facilitating influencer relationships. 

His work includes securing publicity for world-renowned fashion shows, children’s festivals, gala dinners, charity golf outings, consumer product launches, charitable radio-a-thons and Broadway style concerts.

While based in New York City, Jono spent more than a decade shuttling between Australian Fashion Week and fashion shows in Paris and Milan. He has been a fixture at New York Fashion Week since its early days at Bryant Park and has worked with such luminary designers as Vera Wang, Cynthia Rowley, Max Azria, M+F Girbaud, Badgley Mischka and dozens of others organizing backstage media coverage. 

For over a decade he pitched and promoted the red carpet for the FIFI Fragrance Awards and is one of the originators of the Red Dress / Go Red For Women fashion campaign; the nationally recognized women’s heart health program credited for raising the country’s awareness on this important health issue.
